Wistful Sighing: From the second Suzy looks out the window.
Man: I want the Bishop’s house.
This Is: The Edward Norton I want. I like a softer Norton. Also a softer Willis.
A Cuckolded Bill Murray: Is an achingly lovely thing to watch.
These Kids: THESE KIDS.
Everything That Happens In The Woods: Is perfect. I will brook no argument on this.
Suzy & Sam’s Parting: Is DEVASTATING.
Now I’m Just: Listing the scenes in order, because they’re all my favourite. But for real, that scene with Suzy and her mom when Suzy calls her out on the affair? GUH.
The Lightning Strike: Hm… Wish I understood this more.
Skipping Ahead: How did I never notice that Suzy and Sam disguise themselves with fox costumes? Or that Lazy Eye puts his eye patch over this costume’s eye hole?
Love The: Silhouettes while climbing the steeple. It’s got a very Mary Poppins vibe to it.
These Kids: THESE KIDS! They way Sam & Suzy look at each other is so darling, and the little touches on the back and shoulders as Suzy helps Sam escape through the window…. UGH, THIS FIRGGIN’ MOVIE.
Of Course: Still my favourite movie.
